It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Local dining specials are popping up all over Key West.
It is hot, really hot! I like to look for ways to beat the heat and stay cool.
Many restaurants have a slower season and encourage us to come in and visit by offering local deals and appreciation specials.
That’s pretty cool in my book!
There are also some Summer dining specials available to everyone, but that is another post.
This one is strictly for the locals.
The following are some Key West local deals and specials we have seen and are aware of.

Milagro Restaraunt and Bar
Milagro Restaurant and Bar has a special announcement for all Florida Keys locals.
In appreciation of your continued support, they’re offering an incredible 25% discount on your entire bill for the summer!
They started running local dining specials in May. It’s Milagro’s kind way of saying Thank you to the local community.
The 25% local discount is a great incentive to sample your favorites from their menu and maybe even indulge in something new.
How about treating yourself to one of their tequila flights? Or upgrade to a premium bottle of wine for that special occasion.
This summer could be the perfect time to explore Milagro’s offerings with your local discount.

Prime Steakhouse
Prime Steakhouse is bringing back its much-loved Locals Appreciation special beginning on August 12th. It usually runs through about the third week in October, but this year, it will end on October 17th.
Diners can enjoy 50% off of all appetizers and 25% off all bottles of wine.
Appetizers include local favorites such as Sesame-Encusted Tuna Tataki, Oysters—a dozen on the half shell or Rockefeller, Shrimp Cocktail, Escargot, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, and Prime Beef Carpaccio.
This dining special will be available every Monday through Thursday. Don’t hesitate to make a reservation at Prime today!
Viva Argentinian Steakhouse
Viva invites you to come and get a taste of Argentina and celebrate with their Local Appreciation special.
This summer, they offer locals with valid IDs (Key Largo to Key West) a 30% discount on all food and drinks.
Happy hour items are excluded.
Head over and check out the tropical ambiance of the outdoor tiki bar, or dine inside at the bar or tables in the nice cold AC.
If empanadas, steaks, or sangrias are calling your name, Viva is the place to go.
Viva Argentinian Steakhouse is open daily from 10 am until 11 pm.
Grand Cafe
I was excited that Grand Cafe started its local appreciation dining specials a bit earlier this year.
They now welcome locals through October 21st with 50% off Food and Bottles of Wine. The variety of the food on the menu and attentive service make Grand Cafe a good choice for any outing.
Will you sneak off and grab a seat at the back bar, a table inside with air conditioning, or dine al fresco on the wraparound patio or in the tranquil garden? The choice is yours.
Their specials are not valid with any other discounts or promotions; they are for dine-in only, and reservations are recommended.
We know good things and bigger discounts come to those who wait at Grand, and that will happen. It just did! This local special will do splendidly, and I thank them.
Grand prefers you call them directly at (305) 292-4740 and not use the Open Table app when making a reservation.
A&B Lobster House
An August special running through October features 30% off King Crab for locals. It is available every night at A&B Lobster House from August 12th to October 31st.
No sharing or splitting a plate, and your Local ID is required. Reservations are recommended.
The King Crab dinner special is $89 after the discount. It is a massive plate of food!
If you like King Crab, the terrific ambiance, and the attentive care that A&B provides, then this deal is for you.
The White Tarpon
Beginning this August, the White Tarpon has extended its Happy Hour for “LOCALS ONLY.”
So stop in Monday through Thursday for regular Happy Hour from 3:00 to 5:30 and stick around for the extended local happy hour until 8 p.m.
Enjoy half-off wells, domestic beers and drafts, house wines, and nibbles at Happy Hour prices for a longer duration!!
Bring your Monroe County I.D.!! Ending October 17th!
Hard Rock Cafe
Locals, at the Hard Rock Cafe Key West, you can explore their September Special. So, what do you get?
Make any hour a happy hour with your Monroe County ID. Anytime during the day, 11-11 or 11-2 am on Saturdays, happy hour is extended as a local special in September and a little into October.
Drinks will cost $5-$7, and Discounted food will cost $8-$10.
You can take advantage of this wonderful local appreciation offer anywhere in the restaurant all day.
The Saint Hotel
Have you been to or heard about the renowned Sunday Brunch at the Saint? It usually costs $55 per person, and you can add drinks for an extra $15.
They announced a local Sunday brunch special that will run this summer and have graciously extended it into October. So, what do you get?
A superb local brunch special with endless plates and bottomless mimosas included all for only $55.
It seems as if anyone can take part in this brunch special as the local ID isn’t really checked.
The Saint invites you to “come and play with us this Sunday” and every Sunday.

Winslow’s Bungalows
One of the Key West Historic Inns properties shows locals some love with 25% off food and drinks.
Swing by the Bungalow Bar. That is where they serve sandwiches, salads, cocktails, beer, wine, and more.
They open at 11 a.m. during the week and 9 a.m. on weekends.
If you like live music with your food and drinks, the Bungalow Bar at Winslow’s offers that on Thursdays and Fridays from 3 to 5 pm.
Closing time is at 7 pm daily.
This local deal is an ongoing one. You will be able to enjoy it throughout the year.
The Cafe
The Cafe on Southard loves its locals and is celebrating them by offering Local Appreciation Days.
This is held every Wednesday and Thursday from 4 p.m. until close, and during those times, locals can save 20% off all food items and 50% off select bottles of wine.
Sounds like Winner-Winner The Cafe for dinner to me!
Their local special is for dine-in only. So why not grab a friend, head on over, and veg out?
Sunset Pier
Isn’t it the best when you find out that a Key West local deal is good for the whole year?
Sunset Pier is very generous and appreciative of the local support it receives. In return, it is giving back a bit of that local love with 25% off food and drinks throughout the year.
The only exceptions would occur when there is the occasional special event or concert.
This is something to cheer about! So cheers to you and them!

The Alamo Key West
Newly opened for all of your music and food desires, The Alamo Key West invites you to come and hang out.
They have announced a local appreciation special that will run until October 15th: free happy hour food with a minimum alcohol or mocktail purchase between 5 and 10 p.m.
All the musicians have been lining up and are beginning to get on schedule here. Food reviews have been positive. So, if you want to try somewhere new that was around before, remember the Alamo!
Seven Fish
Back from vacation and ready to begin its 28th season, Seven Fish offers locals a little love and appreciation.
With Monroe County ID, you can save 50% on food and 50% on bottles of wine under $100. This special also includes regular drinks & beer. So basically Everything!
This local dining special begins on October 1st

Bob’s on Margaret
Bob’s on Margaret recently announced a local discount, and it is still ongoing in October
They have released a new food and drink menu with lowered prices and added two happy hours.
So far, all of these changes have been positive. I see many things I would try on their menu and appreciate the better prices, happy hour offerings, and local discounts.
While this deal is ongoing, locals can receive 50% off their check and 50% off bottles of wine priced $100 or less, as well as drinks and beer. So essentially, 50% off everything!
I hope to make it in soon and see what’s what. I have heard that it is quite an enjoyable restaurant with quality food.
Bob’s is open from 5-10 pm and is closed on Wednesdays
Matt’s Stock Island Kitchen & Bar
Locals can enjoy 40% off dinner at Matt’s Stock Island Kitchen & Bar on Mondays & Tuesdays through October 29th!
Escape to Stock Island and treat yourself to this local special. Dine between 5:30 and 9:30, show your ID, and enjoy your meal.
Reservations are recommended; the discount only applies to food ordered from Matt’s dinner menu, and drinks are not included.
Must show Monroe County ID for discount; cannot be combined with other offers.
Broil
This excellent steakhouse up the road a little bit on Cudjoe Key gives back on Thursdays to their locals.
On Thankful Thursdays, Broil shows their appreciation for full-time residents with ID.
At that time locals can save 20% off of their entire check.
I have thoroughly enjoyed a meal there and am itching to get back.
They also are on the Key West Woman’s Club Restaurant Card (BOGO entree), and run specials frequently that will entice you to come in.
Key West Legal Rum Distillery
A local drinking and purchasing special is available with ID at Key West Legal Rum Distillery.
Enjoy 50% off all drinks any time you like. Every day of the year. I popped in for a Pina Colada cooldown one hot afternoon.
With a local discount, you can save $8 off bottles of rum.
If you have time, don’t miss the free distillery tour, samples, and chance to learn to make your own with the mojito class.
22&Co
This is not a food deal but a great local deal, and there is edible glitter, so I am including it.
Locals can save 22% off their drink tab daily until October 18th at 22&Co.
22&Co says, “You can enjoy sparkly sips & magical vibes at 22&Co for less during the slower season!”
You can find them on Angela Street, and they are open from 2 pm to 2 am daily!
If you are after fresh cocktails, fun bartenders, edible glitter drinks, tutus, flamingos, and unicorns then 22&Co is the place for you to be!

The Green Pineapple Wellness Cafe
Are you Gluten-free, Vegan, and into Vegetarian organic whole foods in Key West? The Green Pineapple Cafe has something you might be interested in.
You can now get 15% off your order every day for locals.
I haven’t been yet (I’m a heathen), but looking at the menu I’d be excited to try out the Green Shakshuka, Banh Mi, Avocado Toast, Cauliflower Flatbreads, and more.
They also serve up coffees, teas, bakery items, smoothies, juices, immunity shots, and adult beverages, and there is a wine bar. Hello!
I even heard mention of a Happy Hour at the cafe which warrants further investigation.

This is another local deal that goes on throughout the year. Thank you Southernmost Beach Cafe for appreciating the local community.
Dine by the sand while looking out onto the water at the Southernmost Beach Cafe any time of day and take 25% off food as a local.
I’ve used this discount at breakfast and will return to try out other things that interest me. Perhaps you will find some that work out for you.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and happy hour are all represented at the Somo Beach Cafe.
The location is hard to beat and the discount is an added bonus.

This Mallory Square bar and restaurant has an offer for locals 20% off their entire check.
Enjoy Cuban entrees, drinks, and tapas from 11 am until close at El Meson De Pepe.
Reservations are not taken, so all you have to do is show up, show your ID, and you are good to go.
