I took my wife to White Street Pizza the other night after she got off work.
We hadn’t dined in the restaurant yet and had only had delivery. It is in our neighborhood, so it is very convenient.
Viktor took our orders, and we met and talked a little with the owner, Rob.
White Street Pizza Happy Hour
White Street Pizza just returned to having “happy hour” this week, and we were in time for it. Shocking, I know! After all, timing is everything.
Happy Hour is from 5 to 7 p.m. in the restaurant and is also available for online direct orders via the website. A second happy hour was recently added from 8 to 9:30.
They are also found and mentioned in our Key West Happy Hour Guide.
Appetizers, salads, beer, and wine by the glass are all half off in the restaurant.
You can order delivery online between 5-7 and get happy hour discounts on appetizers and salads.
I thank White Street Pizza for offering delivery and allowing happy hour discounts via online orders. We have utilized it, and It’s a great touch!
Placing Our Order
Armed with a glass of cabernet and a soda, we ordered one salad, two appetizers, and one pizza.
Lamb meatballs, grilled shrimp, and a grilled watermelon salad soon arrived and were dispatched effortlessly.
Lovely flavor combinations in each dish. The shrimp were my favorite.
Appetizers and Salads We’ve Had
Grilled Key West Shrimp—Your order includes six nicely sized grilled shrimp. I loved the shrimp’s grilled taste, plumpness, and juiciness. The garlic chili sauce was an excellent accompaniment.
Grilled Beef Tips—The beef tips come on three skewers with three pieces of meat on each. I liked the pieces of lettuce in the box, which you could fashion a wrap with and then dip if you chose—a nod to Vietnam. These are tasty bites with bourbon sauce and scallions, and who doesn’t love food on a stick?
Lamb Meatballs—These hearty meatballs offer a flavorful bite. They are stuffed with gouda and served with parmesan and a nutty romesco sauce.
Pancetta Wrapped Dates—These dates are wrapped in pancetta and stuffed with goat cheese. They’re such a delicious bite—little flavor bombs. I had them via delivery and will certainly be ordering them again.
Grilled Watermelon—This salad was light and refreshing—a great start to any meal. The watermelon is adorned with feta, roasted hazelnuts, and mint. Small touches of lemon zest, olive oil, and balsamic complement its flavors.
About White Street Pizza’s Pizza
The pepperoni pizza arrived hot, gooey, beautiful, and cooked to brick oven perfection.
It’s a thin, chewy crust New York-style pizza with ample toppings, in this case, pepperoni, and a dusting of shaved parmesan that took it to the next level.
All of the pizza options are gourmet and 12” cut to six slices.
I love their pizza’s texture, quality ingredients, taste, brick oven cooking, and perfect chew.
Besides that wonderful chew factor that I find myself looking for in a slice, the expertly prepared crust also provided a hint of char.
We previously had the Mango Hawaiian pizza. The pancetta and pecorino go so well with the rest.
These are truly excellent pizzas, and they are crave-worthy!
Ambiance and Vibe at the Restaurant
The 80s soundtrack kept the vibe on point. Diners happily ate and chatted with each other as people walked in to pick up their deliveries.
Neil Diamond pictures abound, and a few others, like Cher and Debbie Harry, can be seen.
Even the brick pizza oven was singin’ to us when I heard, “I’ll stop the world and melt with you.” Good times!
The cabernet was fabulous and perfectly priced during happy hour, so I had a second glass. It was “Bonanza” from California, I believe.
Sadly, we had no room for dessert. That lemon mascarpone torte is calling my name and begging for my return.
There was also a coconut mango cheesecake and blueberry cookies when we went.
It won’t be long until we visit again!
I made the reel above based on our visit. Check it out to see what to expect. If you watch it on YouTube and enjoy it, please leave a like!
